I can say with absolute confidence that the Steam Deck is a phenomenal device. Proton is a damn miracle. The future of gaming on Linux is bright. I would actually buy a MacBook if Proton worked well/if at all on Mac OS just to have something that had good battery life. Anyway, back to the Steam Deck. Steam OS is great for games. The desktop experience needs a little work, but I'm sure they'll get to that. It is a bit of a hefty boy and is longer than the Sega Game Gear. The controls are excellent, and the dual trackpads work well. I've been playing Disco Elysium as of late on it. It's good. It's really good. If you haven't played it yet you should drop everything else good. Expect a full post on it soon when I am done with it.
