This blog is for documenting my progress through all the things I’ve meant to do. This is in the form of a public blog so that my friends, or anyone else who stumbles upon it can see what I’m up to and what I thought about it.
This is also about taking back the things I pour into the information well. For far too long, the internet has become less than a dozen sites we visit. The ranked method of displaying information was a mistake. The read-write web was a mistake. These mistakes limit what we are exposed to and make us feel like shit. One day archeologists will see comments sections as we do Roman lead plumbing.
I’ve abandoned Facebook/Instagram for the most part, going so far as to remove the apps from my phone. You should do this as well. Your attention span improves. Reddit is an echo chamber and is only good for scouring deals.
I still use Twitter. Twitter isn’t any better than the above mentioned. It’s worse in a lot of other ways. I’ll probably wean myself off of that soon (maybe, it is a guilty pleasure).
